White Duck Outdoors has added a breezy new version of its popular canvas Regatta Bell Tent — the Regatta 360.

The White Duck Regatta 360 now features mesh walls that maximize air flow and ventilation while keeping mosquitoes out. What if you don’t want the mesh walls all the time? No problem: The Regatta 360 includes drop-down canvas panels for cool weather or privacy.

Canvas Awesomeness

This product photo shows the White Duck 13' Regatta 360 canvas bell-style tent setup with the mesh walls shown.
The new White Duck Regatta 360 pairs a roomy canvas bell-tent style design with mesh walls for excellent airflow on hot summer nights.

White Duck is known for its cotton canvas tents, which are durable, airy and surprisingly waterproof. White Duck uses a 8.5 oz. DYNADUCK cotton canvas that’s treated with a PFC-free finish that’s water, mold and UV-resistant.

How is a cotton canvas waterproof? Two ways, first, many canvas tents have a DWR-type coating to help water roll off. More importantly, when heavier or longer-lasting rain hits a cotton canvas tent, the moisture causes the threads to swell with a bit of water, which in turn seals the weave against more rain. It might seem weird, but it works well. In fact, we like cotton canvas tents because they work well even after the initial coatings wear out.

The floor is a waterproof 7.5 oz. PE floor, which is relatively heavy-duty compared to most family camping tent floors.

White Duck quality is excellent, too: You get double-stitched seams, burly zippers, and a proprietary shock-absorbing grounding system for staking the tent down. Each tent comes ready for use with poles, pre-attached reflective guy lines, a waterproof storage bag, and a tool kit complete with stakes and a mallet.

Easy Setup

If you want more warmth and protection from the elements, the mesh walls have canvas that roll down, too.

Even though the Regatta 360 is a large and roomy tent, setup is relatively easy. Like most bell-style tents, a single center pole supports the main body of the tent. To set it up, the basic process is to stake down the perimeter then raise the center pole. Once up, you complete and fine-tune the pitch by staking out the perimeter wall guy lines.

In our experience with other White Duck tents, one person can set up a Regatta alone. Of course, we also appreciate partners willing to lend a hand . . . and, frankly, if you’re using a large bell tent, you’re probably camping with a several people anyway.

Full Lineup of Bell Tents

This photo shows the original White Duck 16' Regatta Tent version without the 360-degree mesh walls.
White Duck makes a variety of cotton canvas tents, including the original Regatta version we reviewed last year.

The White Duck Regatta 360 is available now in 13-foot and 16.5-foot size options. The 13-foot model will comfortably sleep 6, while the 16.5-foot model will sleep 8.

In addition to the new Regatta 360, White Duck offers a full lineup of canvas bell tent options. We’re big fans of the Regatta 16′ Regatta Bell Tent, which we’ve reviewed in detail. It’s very similar in design to the Regatta 360 in the 16.5′ option. The most notable difference is the inclusion of 360-degree mesh walls in the new Regatta 360 option.

If you want more windows along the bottom — but aren’t ready for the full-mesh walls in the Regatta 360 — check out the White Duck Avalon Bell Tent. It includes more windows, a removable zippered floor and slightly heavier-duty cotton canvas.
