Man Makes Fire publishes outdoor gear reviews. We focus only on high-quality outdoor gear from brands we trust. For fly fishing, we review fly fishing rods, reels, fishing waders, wading boots, and fly fishing accessories from reputable gear manufacturers.
To create our in-depth fly fishing gear reviews, we fish with new and interesting fly fishing gear to see how it performs in the wild and then write about it. For example, for fly fishing rod and reel combos, we’ll test out a rod and reel and publish an in-depth review. Then, if the rod and reel performs particularly well, we’ll add it to our Best Fly Fishing Rod & Reel Combos guide.
