YETI has added two new sizes of the LoadOut GoBox: The new LoadOut GoBox 15 is about half the size of the original Gobox 30 while the new GoBox 60 is about twice the size.

The GoBox is rugged and waterproof but it’s not a cooler. It’s simply a very well made portable storage container that’s tough enough to protect your gear. They’re UV, rust, corrosion and impact resistant.

The new YETI LoadOut 60 is a rugged on-the-go gear organization and protection system for your important outdoor gear and tools.

YETI GoBoxes meet IP65 and IP67 waterproof standards, which means they stay waterproof through sprayed or splashing water as well as stay dry inside for 30 minutes while submerged 1 meter deep.

Perfectly Stackable

This photo shows the YETI LoadOut GoBox 15 and 30 stacked on top of the YETI GoBox 60.
YETI designed its GoBox collection for easy stacking.

Whether on the move or in storage, the YETI LoadOut GoBoxes are perfectly sized for stacking. Two GoBox 15s fit on top of the GoBox 30 and three fit on the GoBox 60. Or you can stack one GoBox 15 and one GoBox 30 on top of the GoBox 60.

As you would expect, YETI includes tie-down slots. One differentiating feature compared to most common storage bins is the inclusion of rugged non-slip feet.

Ready for Organization

This photo shows the YETI LoadOut GoBox 30 with example gear.
One key advantage of the YETI GoBox over most other storage containers is YETI’s attention to organizational detail.

Each GoBox comes with one removable cargo tray, a.k.a. the GoBox Caddy, but the GoBox 30 can fit two trays while the GoBox 60 fits up to three. The single YETI GoBox Caddy that comes with each GoBox is sized the same, which means they all work with any GoBox — and you can order extras if you need more to organize your gear.

In addition to the organizational tray, the GoBox 30 and 60 come with a removable divider to help you organize contents. The GoBox 60 has two divider slots but only comes with one divider, so you’ll have to order an extra divider from YETI if you need it. Unlike the GoBox Caddy, the dividers are not interchangeable among GoBox sizes.

What’s a Pack Attic?

The removable Pack Attic maximizes gear organization by letting you stow small gear near the lid for fast and easy access.

If YETI creates something cool, you can bet the company is going to trademark it. Case in point? The YETI Pack Attic. What is it? The Pack Attic is a surprisingly ingenious zippered mesh panel of pockets built into the inside of the lid.

Any Drawbacks?

What costs more? A new YETI GoBox or replacing unprotected gear?

As you might expect from YETI, you get premium, rugged products that come at a premium price point. Are they worth it? The answer depends on how important your gear is to you and how much you need to protect it.

If you have expensive gear — or gear that’s critical to your enjoyment of outdoor adventures — a GoBox might be just what you need. What YETI is really offering here is organization you can trust to keep your gear protected, dry and dustproof so you can do more outside with less risk or hassle.

Why You Can Trust Us to Make Unbiased Reviews and Recommendations

Man Makes Fire has been reviewing outdoor gear since 2011. We buy gear to evaluate and gear manufacturers occasionally ship review units to us to test because they trust the quality of our in-depth reviews. We carefully evaluate the gear in-person and review it only if it is very good, noting if it was provided to us. After the review, we return it, give it away, or use it for longer-term updates. We do not accept any gear in exchange for coverage. We only recommend gear we believe in, focusing on reputable companies, brands, and retailers we trust so that you have a good experience, too. When you buy using the retail links in our guides and reviews, we may earn a small affiliate commission that helps pay for our work. We take pride in delivering the unbiased advice and gear recommendations you need so you can choose the right gear for your own outdoor adventures.
