Maven has added an interesting new ultracompact and lightweight B.7 8×25 and 10×25 binocular to its lineup. The new B.7 packs down super small and weighs just 12.4 ounces.

Better yet, instead of a polymer frame that’s used in many lightweight binoculars, Maven managed to get the weight down with a rugged magnesium frame.

Plus, to improve portability, the B.7 uses a cool dual-hinge design that lets the B.7 fold down to just 2.94″ x 4.76″ x 1.99″. The result is a new bino that is easy to carry and stow just about anywhere.

Maven’s B Series Quality

Maven’s B-Series binoculars use outstanding glass and deliver crisp optical quality.

Maven’s B series optics use the company’s highest quality glass and components. Maven is a direct-to-consumer business, which lets the company offer excellent optics at very competitive price points.

We’ve tested and reviewed several B and C-series Maven binoculars in the past and always appreciate Maven’s excellent optical quality. In fact, the larger B1.2 in 10×42 is far and away our favorite archery elk hunting binocular — read our full review here for more B-series detail.

Maven says the new B.7 delivers outstanding optical quality in a bulk-free form factor. It’s aimed at most any outdoor lover, including birders, travelers, and sports fans.

Why You Can Trust Us to Make Unbiased Reviews and Recommendations

Man Makes Fire has been reviewing outdoor gear since 2011. We buy gear to evaluate and gear manufacturers occasionally ship review units to us to test because they trust the quality of our in-depth reviews. We carefully evaluate the gear in-person and review it only if it is very good, noting if it was provided to us. After the review, we return it, give it away, or use it for longer-term updates. We do not accept any gear in exchange for coverage. We only recommend gear we believe in, focusing on reputable companies, brands, and retailers we trust so that you have a good experience, too. When you buy using the retail links in our guides and reviews, we may earn a small affiliate commission that helps pay for our work. We take pride in delivering the unbiased advice and gear recommendations you need so you can choose the right gear for your own outdoor adventures.
