Hunting Gear

Man Makes Fire publishes outdoor gear reviews. We focus only on high-quality outdoor gear from brands we trust. For hunting, we review hunting backpacks, knives, camouflage hunting clothing, binoculars, spotting scopes, rangefinders, compound bows and archery hunting gear, as well as survival and safety gear such as first-aid kits for hunters.

To create our in-depth hunting gear reviews, we hunt big game animals as well as upland birds and turkeys to see how the gear performs in the wild — and then we write about it. For example, for hunting headlamps, we test out headlamps for hunting in hunting situations and then publish in-depth reviews about their characteristics. For particularly great headlamps, we add them to our guide to the Best Headlamps for Hunting. Other great hunting gear will make it into our guide to the Best Gifts for Hunters each year.
